Discuss your plan with the Scoutmaster, who will help you find a registered merit badge counselor.
Meet with your counselor (always with a buddy) and complete every requirement as written.
Your counselor signs off and completion is recorded in Scoutbook so the troop can present the badge.
Requirements and pamphlets for every merit badge are maintained by Scouting America.
Some merit badges are required for the rank of Eagle Scout. Plan these early.
